Get insights on how to plan, book and execute tours in a realistic and sustainable way.
This session gives artists and music professionals practical tools to plan, book, and execute tours in a realistic and sustainable way, with a focus on international touring in Europe.
We will cover how to build tours from the ground up, approach venues and festivals, and create meaningful connections that open opportunities abroad. The session also addresses key challenges in today’s live sector, including financial sustainability, environmental impact, and collaborative touring practices.
Topics include:
- Booking strategies for small but impactful tours
- Approaching international venues and festivals
- Understanding the European live market
- Financial and environmental sustainability
- Collaboration between artists, agents, and peers
- Key challenges in today’s touring landscape
The workshop combines a 45-minute presentation with interactive exercises and an open discussion/Q&A. Participants will leave with clearer priorities, concrete methods, and a draft plan they can start using immediately.
The presentation will be held in English, and the Q&A will be held in both English and Norwegian.
Target group:
